Senior Plant Logistics Manager – Tier 1 Automotive | Monterrey, Mexico

Lead a Plant Transformation in a High-Volume Automotive Environment

An established Tier 1 automotive supplier with approximately 1,200 employees is seeking an experienced Senior Plant Logistics Manager to lead a critical operational improvement programme at its Monterrey manufacturing facility.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in complex manufacturing environments and has a proven track record of stabilising logistics operations, improving material flow, and driving sustainable performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all plant logistics operations, including warehousing, internal logistics, line feeding, and material flow.
  • Improve inventory accuracy, warehouse performance, and material availability.
  • Optimise supermarket, milk-run, and line-side replenishment processes.
  • Reduce shortages, premium freight, and logistics-related production disruptions.
  • Develop and implement robust logistics KPIs and operational standards.
  • Coach and develop logistics teams while driving accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing, and Supply Chain functions.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in plant logistics within Tier 1 automotive manufacturing.
  • Strong background in warehousing, internal logistics, and line feeding operations.
  • Demonstrated success in turnaround, operational excellence, or plant recovery assignments.
  • Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, JIT, Kanban, and material flow optimisation.
  • Strong leadership and change management capabilities.
  • Fluent English required; Spanish is highly advantageous.
