Senior SAP FI/CO Team Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP FI/CO Team Lead to join a major SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud rollout project supporting the implementation in India. This is a leadership-focused role, managing a team of 6–7 SAP Finance consultants while driving the successful delivery of the FI/CO workstream.

The ideal candidate will have extensive SAP Finance experience, proven leadership capabilities, and a strong background delivering SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes.

Contract Details

  • Contract Length: Initial 6 months (part of a 12-month project)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Onboarding: Approximately 2 weeks
  • Location: Pune, India
  • Travel/Expenses: 40% of expenses covered
  • Reporting To: Anand

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 6–7 SAP FI/CO consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive the SAP FI/CO workstream for an SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud rollout to India.
  • Coordinate project delivery, ensuring milestones, quality standards, and timelines are achieved.
  • Provide technical and functional leadership across SAP Finance and Controlling processes.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, project leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Support issue resolution, risk management, and decision-making throughout the implementation.
  • Mentor team members and promote delivery best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years of hands-on SAP FI/CO experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of SAP S/4HANA experience.
  • Proven experience leading SAP Finance teams.
  • Previous experience leading at least one SAP S/4HANA rollout or implementation project.
  • Strong functional expertise across SAP FI and CO modules.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage delivery in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience leading finance workstreams within large-scale SAP transformation programmes.
  • Previous experience delivering SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud implementations is advantageous.
