Cybersecurity Validation Engineer

Hi,

I’m currently recruiting an Automotive Cybersecurity Validation Engineer for a project focused on validating ECU security features, including Secure Boot, Secure Download, SecOC and IDS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and validate automotive cybersecurity features including:

Secure Download
Secure Boot
Secure On-Board Communication (SecOC)
Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)

  • Develop, review, and execute cybersecurity test strategies, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform verification and validation activities for cybersecurity modules across ECU and vehicle platforms.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and support issue resolution.
  • Review and analyze system requirements and traceability using requirements management tools.
  • Support integration, system, regression, and end-to-end validation activities.
  • Prepare test reports, defect reports, and validation documentation.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews from a cybersecurity validation perspective.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.

Contract : Freelance
Start date : ASAP
Duration: 12 months
Location: Gaydon, UK
