Freelance Senior Boomi Developer (Dutch Speaking)
Location: Netherlands (Hybrid)
Contract Type: Freelance / ZZP
Duration: Initial 12-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension
Start Date: ASAP

  • Strong technical background in event‑driven architecture is required.
  • Solid Boomi experience is essential.
  • Experience working as an application-focused developer is important.

The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an experienced Dutch-speaking Senior Boomi Developer to join a large-scale enterprise integration programme based in the Netherlands.
This is not a single project assignment. You will become part of a long-term delivery team, supporting multiple programmes and workstreams across a complex enterprise landscape. This role offers excellent long-term stability and the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging integration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise integration solutions using the Boomi AtomSphere platform.
  • Build scalable, secure and high-performing integrations across cloud and on-premise applications.
  • Develop APIs and event-driven integration solutions.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Application Developers and Business Stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
  • Develop reusable integration components and best practice frameworks.
  • Participate in technical design sessions and code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support deployment activities.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the client's integration architecture.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven commercial experience as a Boomi Developer.
  • Strong technical background in Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
  • Experience working as an Application Developer, with a solid understanding of application integration.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and middleware technologies.
  • Experience developing REST APIs, SOAP services and working with JSON, XML and data transformations.
  • Ability to work independently within Agile delivery teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Fluent Dutch (spoken and written).
  • Professional English communication skills.
  • Previous experience delivering enterprise integration projects.
  • Eligible to work as a freelancer (ZZP) in the Netherlands.

Desirable Skills

  • Boomi Professional Developer or Architect certification.
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or Azure Event Grid.
  • Experience integrating ERP, CRM or SaaS platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms including Azure or AWS.
  • CI/CD and DevOps experience.
