We are looking for a Recruiting Leader with 4+ years of experience to be the first dedicated recruiting hire at a well-funded, high-growth vertical AI company. You will own full-cycle recruiting across technical and go-to-market (GTM) roles as the sole recruiter for the first 12+ months, building the hiring engine from scratch while maintaining an exceptionally high quality bar.
End-to-End Recruiting: Running full-cycle recruiting from sourcing to closing (~60% technical, ~40% go-to-market) at a pace of roughly 1–2 hires per month.
Hands-on Execution: Personally sourcing, screening, and closing candidates—there are no sourcers, coordinators, or individual contributor recruiters to delegate to.
Executive Partnership: Partnering directly with the executive leadership team (CEO, CTO, and VP of Sales) to calibrate on hiring bars and candidate profiles for roles like Applied AI, Full-Stack Tech Leads, Account Executives, SDRs, and post-sales positions.
Infrastructure Building: Constructing the recruiting workflows, tooling, and foundational infrastructure required to scale the company from ~50 to 100+ employees.
Strategic Operator: Acting as a true "Swiss army knife" operator who deeply understands the business and treats every single hire as a quality-over-quantity decision.
Experience: 4 to 10 years of experience in full-cycle technical recruiting, with a heavy focus on technical hiring (Engineering, AI/ML, and Product) at high-growth startups.
Startup Track Record: Prior experience at an early or growth-stage company with a proven track record of actually building technical teams.
Sole Recruiter Mindset: A hands-on executor who is genuinely excited to be an independent operator handling all elements of the hiring process for 12+ months (this is not a role for someone looking to immediately manage or build out a recruiting team).
Location: Must be based in Austin, TX or New York City (no relocation candidates will be considered).
