Senior SAP IPD / DMS / ECTR Consultant

Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced SAP expert with deep capabilities across SAP Intelligent Product Design (IPD) on SAP BTP, SAP DMS, SAP ECTR integration, and S/4HANA workflow design.
The ideal consultant combines strong functional and technical expertise in engineering document management, product lifecycle processes, authorization concepts on BTP, and enterprise integration into SAP S/4HANA environments.
This role requires hands-on implementation experience, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to drive architecture and configuration activities independently.

1. SAP IPD on SAP BTP Expert (Highest Priority)

Strong expertise in:

• SAP Intelligent Product Design (IPD)
• SAP BTP architecture and services
• End-to-end implementation and configuration
• Integration with SAP S/4HANA
• Product structure and engineering process management
• Engineering collaboration scenarios
• Configuration of business objects, lifecycle handling, and document processes
• Master data integration
• API/integration framework understanding
• Experience with hybrid landscapes

Preferred experience:

• Greenfield and brownfield implementations
• SAP Activate methodology
• Migration from legacy engineering/document systems
• Multi-country rollout exposure

SAP IPD Roles & Authorizations on BTP
Deep understanding of:

• SAP BTP security architecture
• Role collection setup
• IAS / IPS integration
• Identity and access management
• Authorization concepts for engineering users
• Segregation of duties
• Enterprise role design

Hands-on experience with:

• Role troubleshooting
• Business catalog assignments
• Fiori authorization concepts
• Launchpad access control
• Cross-system authorization dependencies

SAP ECTR Integration with SAP IPD

Strong experience integrating:

• SAP Engineering Control Center (ECTR)
• SAP IPD
• SAP DMS
• CAD desktop engineering processes

Expected knowledge:

• CAD integrations
• Document synchronization
• Engineering record handling
• Metadata mapping
• File vault/document handling
• Change management processes
• Engineering BOM-related processes

Preferred exposure:

• AutoCAD
• SolidWorks
• Siemens NX
• Creo
• CATIA

SAP DMS Expertise (ECC and S/4HANA)

Strong generic SAP DMS capabilities across:

• SAP ECC
• SAP S/4HANA

Hands-on expertise required in:

• Document info records (DIR)
• Classification
• Object links
• Content repositories
• ArchiveLink
• KPro
• Version management
• Status management
• Digital signatures
• Document lifecycle processes

Experience with:

• Migration from ECC DMS to S/4HANA
• DMS process optimization
• Integration into logistics/manufacturing/engineering processes

5. SAP DMS Fiori Apps

6. SAP S/4HANA Workflow Expert

Seniority Expectations

• Senior Consultant / Lead Consultant level
• Able to work independently
• Strong client-facing communication
• Workshop facilitation experience
• Architecture and solution advisory capability
• Ability to guide offshore/onshore teams
