Role Title: Boomi Technical Consultant
Contract Type: Contractor / Outside IR35 (if applicable)
Location: UK-based / Hybrid or Remote

Duration: Initial 6 months with extension potential

Overview

We are seeking two experienced Boomi Technical Consultants to support a major digital integration programme for a UK public sector client. The successful contractors will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise integration solutions using the Boomi platform.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact transformation initiatives within a complex stakeholder environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy integrations using Boomi AtomSphere
  • Develop APIs, data integrations, and workflow automations
  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and project teams to deliver scalable integration solutions
  • Support integration of cloud and on-premise applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical integration issues
  • Ensure solutions comply with security, governance, and public sector standards
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and technical workshops
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices to stakeholders and delivery teams

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Boomi AtomSphere
  • Proven experience delivering integration solutions in enterprise environments
  • Experience with APIs, REST/SOAP web services, XML, JSON, and ETL processes
  • Knowledge of cloud integration patterns and middleware technologies
  • Experience integrating systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, or similar enterprise platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively within Agile delivery teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working within UK public sector environments
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards within government organisations
  • Boomi certifications
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or Azure/AWS cloud environments
