SAP ABAP RAP Developers – S/4HANA RISE Project (Munich)

 

Client: Global enterprise

Project Type: S/4HANA RISE / Greenfield Implementation

Location: Munich, Germany

Contract Length: Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extensions (project expected to run long-term)

Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

 

Hiring Need: 10 positions available

  • 5 European-based consultants (nearshore preferred: Portugal, Poland, Romania, Germany, wider EU)
  • 5 Offshore consultants (India preferred)

 

Project Overview

We are supporting a major S/4HANA RISE greenfield transformation programme based in Munich. The client is building new SAP capabilities from the ground up and requires experienced SAP ABAP RAP Developers to support large-scale development across SAP BTP, modern ABAP frameworks, and S/4HANA architecture.

This is a long-term programme with significant future scope, making it an excellent opportunity for consultants looking for project stability and extension potential.

 

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Develop applications using RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
  • Build and enhance solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments
  • Develop APIs and integrations using modern SAP development frameworks
  • Work on SAP BTP development tasks where required
  • Build Fiori-enabled backend services
  • Support greenfield architecture development
  • Collaborate with architects, functional teams, and business stakeholders
  • Participate in technical design discussions
  • Ensure development quality, scalability, and performance
  • Support deployment activities and future rollout phases

 

Required Skills

 

Must Have:

  • Strong SAP ABAP Development experience
  • Proven hands-on experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
  • Strong S/4HANA development experience
  • Experience developing OData services/APIs
  • CDS Views experience
  • Object-oriented ABAP development experience
  • Integration experience within SAP landscapes
  • Strong debugging and performance optimisation skills

 

Nice to Have:

 

  • SAP BTP development experience
  • SAP Fiori/UI5 exposure
  • Experience working on RISE with SAP programmes
  • Greenfield implementation experience
  • Experience in large enterprise transformation programmes
