Senior Security Operations Centre (SOC) Specialist

Next Ventures is partnering with a global, high end retail brand to hire a permanent Senior SOC Specialist. In this role, you will proactively identify and respond to ongoing attacks, collaborating with the incident response team to minimise impact.
Location – Geneva (onsite - 5 days a week)

Responsibilities:
- Utilise SIEM tools in a way to protect critical vulnerabilities
- Oversee day to day operations of SOC
- Access and improve SOC processes
- Act as a primary incident responder
- Collaborate with external partners, such as government agencies and industry groups, to share and receive threat intelligence.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7 years of cybersecurity experience in security operations
  • At least 5 years of experience in a SOC or CERT environment, with a focus on incident response and threat detection.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight), IDS/IPS, firewalls, and other security technologies.
  • Technically proficient and have hands on experience
  • Eligible to work in Switzerland & Fluent in English – (French or German is a plus)
(GMON, CSIH, ECSA, GCIA, GCIH, GCED, ECIH certification as plus)
